May 22, 2025: With a 214-215 vote, the House narrowly passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill” Act, H.R. 1, with all Democrats and two Republicans – Massie (KY) and Davidson (OH) – voting against it. The legislation now moves to the Senate for consideration.
On May 11th, Republicans in the House Energy & Commerce committee added language to their portion of the partisan budget reconciliation bill that would prohibit state governments from making or enforcing any laws regulating artificial intelligence (AI) for the next 10 years. Though more than 30 states have passed laws that regulate dangerous aspects of AI, such as the creation of deepfakes and nonconsensual/child pornography, these laws could not be enforced if the reconciliation bill passes with this language.
The Trump administration has already rolled back several Biden-era laws that sought to regulate the use of AI, continuing its course of putting the rights of big tech companies like OpenAI, Meta, and Google above the rights of U.S. consumers. Tech safety groups like The Tech Oversight Project have spoken out against the deregulation of AI and how this provision “will kneecap states’ ability to protect people and children from proven AI harms and scams.” Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL-9) has said that the provision would allow tech companies to “ignore consumer privacy protections”and “profile and deceive” users, especially as it is unknown what advancements in AI technology will occur over the next 10 years. Additionally, the sneaky inclusion of this provision into a bill designated for spending and budget issues leads opponents to question “whether this is politically viable, or even legal.”
The approval of this bill with its AI provision would give unprecedented power to big tech companies. Demand that your representatives oppose this destructive budget reconciliation bill and the Republicans’ attempts to prioritize corporations over people.

Imagine that there is a new scientific theory that warns of an impending crisis, and points to a way out.
This theory quickly draws support from leading scientists, politicians and celebrities around the world. Research is funded by distinguished philanthropies, and carried out at prestigious universities. The crisis is reported frequently in the media. The science is taught in college and high school classrooms.
I don’t mean global warming. I’m talking about another theory, which rose to prominence a century ago.
Its supporters included Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Winston Churchill. It was approved by Supreme Court justices Oliver Wendell Holmes and Louis Brandeis, who ruled in its favor. The famous names who supported it included Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone; activist Margaret Sanger; botanist Luther Burbank; Leland Stanford, founder of Stanford University; the novelist H. G. Wells; the playwright George Bernard Shaw; and hundreds of others. Nobel Prize winners gave support. Research was backed by the Carnegie and Rockefeller Foundations. The Cold Springs Harbor Institute was built to carry out this research, but important work was also done at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford and Johns Hopkins. Legislation to address the crisis was passed in states from New York to California.
These efforts had the support of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Medical Association, and the National Research Council. It was said that if Jesus were alive, he would have supported this effort.
All in all, the research, legislation and molding of public opinion surrounding the theory went on for almost half a century. Those who opposed the theory were shouted down and called reactionary, blind to reality, or just plain ignorant. But in hindsight, what is surprising is that so few people objected.
Today, we know that this famous theory that gained so much support was actually pseudoscience. The crisis it claimed was nonexistent. And the actions taken in the name of theory were morally and criminally wrong. Ultimately, they led to the deaths of millions of people.
The theory was eugenics, and its history is so dreadful — and, to those who were caught up in it, so embarrassing — that it is now rarely discussed. But it is a story that should be well know to every citizen, so that its horrors are not repeated.
The theory of eugenics postulated a crisis of the gene pool leading to the deterioration of the human race. The best human beings were not breeding as rapidly as the inferior ones — the foreigners, immigrants, Jews, degenerates, the unfit, and the “feeble minded.” Francis Galton, a respected British scientist, first speculated about this area, but his ideas were taken far beyond anything he intended. They were adopted by science-minded Americans, as well as those who had no interest in science but who were worried about the immigration of inferior races early in the twentieth century — “dangerous human pests” who represented “the rising tide of imbeciles” and who were polluting the best of the human race.
The eugenicists and the immigrationists joined forces to put a stop to this. The plan was to identify individuals who were feeble-minded — Jews were agreed to be largely feeble-minded, but so were many foreigners, as well as blacks — and stop them from breeding by isolation in institutions or by sterilization.
As Margaret Sanger said, “Fostering the good-for-nothing at the expense of the good is an extreme cruelty … there is not greater curse to posterity than that of bequeathing them an increasing population of imbeciles.” She spoke of the burden of caring for “this dead weight of human waste.”
Such views were widely shared. H.G. Wells spoke against “ill-trained swarms of inferior citizens.” Theodore Roosevelt said that “Society has no business to permit degenerates to reproduce their kind.” Luther Burbank” “Stop permitting criminals and weaklings to reproduce.” George Bernard Shaw said that only eugenics could save mankind.
There was overt racism in this movement, exemplified by texts such as “The Rising Tide of Color Against White World Supremacy” by American author Lothrop Stoddard. But, at the time, racism was considered an unremarkable aspect of the effort to attain a marvelous goal — the improvement of humankind in the future. It was this avant-garde notion that attracted the most liberal and progressive minds of a generation. California was one of twenty-nine American states to pass laws allowing sterilization, but it proved the most-forward-looking and enthusiastic — more sterilizations were carried out in California than anywhere else in America.
Eugenics research was funded by the Carnegie Foundation, and later by the Rockefeller Foundation. The latter was so enthusiastic that even after the center of the eugenics effort moved to Germany, and involved the gassing of individuals from mental institutions, the Rockefeller Foundation continued to finance German researchers at a very high level. (The foundation was quiet about it, but they were still funding research in 1939, only months before the onset of World War II.)
Since the 1920s, American eugenicists had been jealous because the Germans had taken leadership of the movement away from them. The Germans were admirably progressive. They set up ordinary-looking houses where “mental defectives” were brought and interviewed one at a time, before being led into a back room, which was, in fact, a gas chamber. There, they were gassed with carbon monoxide, and their bodies disposed of in a crematorium located on the property.
Eventually, this program was expanded into a vast network of concentration camps located near railroad lines, enabling the efficient transport and of killing ten million undesirables.
After World War II, nobody was a eugenicist, and nobody had ever been a eugenicist. Biographers of the celebrated and the powerful did not dwell on the attractions of this philosophy to their subjects, and sometimes did not mention it at all. Eugenics ceased to be a subject for college classrooms, although some argue that its ideas continue to have currency in disguised form.
But in retrospect, three points stand out. First, despite the construction of Cold Springs Harbor Laboratory, despite the efforts of universities and the pleadings of lawyers, there was no scientific basis for eugenics. In fact, nobody at that time knew what a gene really was. The movement was able to proceed because it employed vague terms never rigorously defined. “Feeble-mindedness” could mean anything from poverty to illiteracy to epilepsy. Similarly, there was no clear definition of “degenerate” or “unfit.”
Second, the eugenics movement was really a social program masquerading as a scientific one. What drove it was concern about immigration and racism and undesirable people moving into one’s neighborhood or country. Once again, vague terminology helped conceal what was really going on.
Third, and most distressing, the scientific establishment in both the United States and Germany did not mount any sustained protest. Quite the contrary. In Germany scientists quickly fell into line with the program. Modern German researchers have gone back to review Nazi documents from the 1930s. They expected to find directives telling scientists what research should be done. But none were necessary. In the words of Ute Deichman, “Scientists, including those who were not members of the [Nazi] party, helped to get funding for their work through their modified behavior and direct cooperation with the state.” Deichman speaks of the “active role of scientists themselves in regard to Nazi race policy … where [research] was aimed at confirming the racial doctrine … no external pressure can be documented.” German scientists adjusted their research interests to the new policies. And those few who did not adjust disappeared.
A second example of politicized science is quite different in character, but it exemplifies the hazard of government ideology controlling the work of science, and of uncritical media promoting false concepts. Trofim Denisovich Lysenko was a self-promoting peasant who, it was said, “solved the problem of fertilizing the fields without fertilizers and minerals.” In 1928 he claimed to have invented a procedure called vernalization, by which seeds were moistened and chilled to enhance the later growth of crops.
Lysenko’s methods never faced a rigorous test, but his claim that his treated seeds passed on their characteristics to the next generation represented a revival of Lamarckian ideas at a time when the rest of the world was embracing Mendelian genetics. Josef Stalin was drawn to Lamarckian ideas, which implied a future unbounded by hereditary constraints; he also wanted improved agricultural production. Lysenko promised both, and became the darling of a Soviet media that was on the lookout for stories about clever peasants who had developed revolutionary procedures.
Lysenko was portrayed as a genius, and he milked his celebrity for all it was worth. He was especially skillful at denouncing this opponents. He used questionnaires from farmers to prove that vernalization increased crop yields, and thus avoided any direct tests. Carried on a wave of state-sponsored enthusiasm, his rise was rapid. By 1937, he was a member of the Supreme Soviet.
Sounds familiar?
By then, Lysenko and his theories dominated Russian biology. The result was famines that killed millions, and purges that sent hundreds of dissenting Soviet scientists to the gulags or the firing squads. Lysenko was aggressive in attacking genetics, which was finally banned as “bourgeois pseudoscience” in 1948. There was never any basis for Lysenko’s ideas, yet he controlled Soviet research for thirty years. Lysenkoism ended in the 1960s, but Russian biology still has not entirely recovered from that era.
Now we are engaged in a great new theory that once again has drawn the support of politicians, scientists, and celebrities around the world. Once again, the theory is promoted by major foundations. Once again, the research is carried out at prestigious universities. Once again, legislation is passed and social programs are urged in its name. Once again, critics are few and harshly dealt with.
Once again, the measures being urged have little basis in fact or science. Once again, groups with other agendas are hiding behind a movement that appears high-minded. Once again, claims of moral superiority are used to justify extreme actions. Once again, the fact that some people are hurt is shrugged off because an abstract cause is said to be greater than any human consequences. Once again, vague terms like sustainability and generational justice — terms that have no agreed definition — are employed in the service of a new crisis.
I am not arguing that global warming is the same as eugenics. But the similarities are not superficial. And I do claim that open and frank discussion of the data, and of the issues, is being suppressed. Leading scientific journals have taken strong editorial positions of the side of global warming, which, I argue, they have no business doing. Under the circumstances, any scientist who has doubts understands clearly that they will be wise to mute their expression.
One proof of this suppression is the fact that so many of the outspoken critics of global warming are retired professors. These individuals are not longer seeking grants, and no longer have to face colleagues whose grant applications and career advancement may be jeopardized by their criticisms.
In science, the old men are usually wrong. But in politics, the old men are wise, counsel caution, and in the end are often right.
The past history of human belief is a cautionary tale. We have killed thousands of our fellow human beings because we believed they had signed a contract with the devil, and had become witches. We still kill more than a thousand people each year for witchcraft. In my view, there is only one hope for humankind to emerge from what Carl Sagan called “the demon-haunted world” of our past. That hope is science.
But as Alston Chase put it, “when the search for truth is confused with political advocacy, the pursuit of knowledge is reduced to the quest for power.”
That is the danger we now face. And this is why the intermixing of science and politics is a bad combination, with a bad history. We must remember the history, and be certain that what we present to the world as knowledge is disinterested and honest.

It’s called Optogenetics
This article is about controlling cellular activity with light. For genetically encoded sensors, see Optogenetic methods to record cellular activity.
Optogenetics is a biological technique to control the activity of neurons or other cell types with light. This is achieved by expression of light-sensitive ion channels, pumps or enzymes specifically in the target cells. On the level of individual cells, light-activated enzymes and transcription factors allow precise control of biochemical signaling pathways.[1] In systems neuroscience, the ability to control the activity of a genetically defined set of neurons has been used to understand their contribution to decision making,[2] learning,[3] fear memory,[4] mating,[5]addiction,[6] feeding,[7] and locomotion.[8] In a first medical application of optogenetic technology, vision was partially restored in a blind patient with Retinitis pigmentosa.[9]
Optogenetic techniques have also been introduced to map the functional connectivity of the brain.[10][11] By altering the activity of genetically labelled neurons with light and by using imaging and electrophysiology techniques to record the activity of other cells, researchers can identify the statistical dependencies between cells and brain regions.[12][13]
In a broader sense, the field of optogenetics also includes methods to record cellular activity with genetically encoded indicators.
In 2010, optogenetics was chosen as the "Method of the Year" across all fields of science and engineering by the interdisciplinary research journal Nature Methods.[14] In the same year an article on "Breakthroughs of the Decade" in the academic research journal Science highlighted optogenetics.[15][16][17]
Technique
The technique of using optogenetics is flexible and adaptable to the experimenter's needs. Cation-selective channelrhodopsins (e.g. ChR2) are used to excite neurons, anion-conducting channelrhodopsins (e.g. GtACR2) inhibit neuronal activity. Combining these tools into a single construct (e.g. BiPOLES) allows for both inhibition and excitation, depending on the wavelength of illumination.[68]
Introducing the microbial opsin into a specific subset of cells is challenging. A popular approach is to introduce an engineered viral vector that contains the optogenetic actuator gene attached to a specific promoter such as CAMKIIα, which is active in excitatory neurons. This allows for some level of specificity, preventing e.g. expression in glia cells.[69]
A more specific approach is based on transgenic "driver" mice which express Cre recombinase, an enzyme that catalyzes recombination between two lox-P sites, in a specific subset of cells, e.g. parvalbumin-expressing interneurons. By introducing an engineered viral vector containing the optogenetic actuator gene in between two lox-P sites, only the cells producing Cre recombinase will express the microbial opsin. This technique has allowed for multiple modified optogenetic actuators to be used without the need to create a whole line of transgenic animals every time a new microbial opsin is needed.[70]
After the introduction and expression of the microbial opsin, a computer-controlled light source has to be optically coupled to the brain region in question. Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or fiber-coupled diode-pumped solid-state lasers(DPSS) are frequently used. Recent advances include the advent of wireless head-mounted devices that apply LEDs to the targeted areas and as a result, give the animals more freedom to move.[71][72]
Fiber-based approaches can also be used to combine optical stimulation and calcium imaging.[65] This enables researchers to visualize and manipulate the activity of single neurons in awake behaving animals.[73] It is also possible to record from multiple deep brain regions at the same using GRIN lenses connected via optical fiber to an externally positioned photodetector and photostimulator.[74][75]
Optogenetics provides millisecond-scale temporal precision which allows the experimenter to keep pace with fast biological information processing (for example, in probing the causal role of specific action potential patterns in defined neurons). Indeed, to probe the neural code, optogenetics by definition must operate on the millisecond timescale to allow addition or deletion of precise activity patterns within specific cells in the brains of intact animals, including mammals (see Figure 1). By comparison, the temporal precision of traditional genetic manipulations (employed to probe the causal role of specific genes within cells, via "loss-of-function" or "gain of function" changes in these genes) is rather slow, from hours or days to months. It is important to also have fast readouts in optogenetics that can keep pace with the optical control. This can be done with electrical recordings ("optrodes") or with reporter proteins that are biosensors, where scientists have fused fluorescent proteins to detector proteins. Additionally, beyond its scientific impact optogenetics represents an important case study in the value of both ecological conservation (as many of the key tools of optogenetics arise from microbial organisms occupying specialized environmental niches), and in the importance of pure basic science as these opsins were studied over decades for their own sake by biophysicists and microbiologists, without involving consideration of their potential value in delivering insights into neuroscience and neuropsychiatric disease.[47]
Light-activated proteins: channels, pumps and enzymes
The hallmark of optogenetics therefore is introduction of fast light-activated channels, pumps, and enzymes that allow temporally precise manipulation of electrical and biochemical events while maintaining cell-type resolution through the use of specific targeting mechanisms. Among the microbial opsins which can be used to investigate the function of neural systems are the channelrhodopsins (ChR2, ChR1, VChR1, and SFOs) to excite neurons and anion-conducting channelrhodopsins for light-induced inhibition. Indirectly light-controlled potassium channelshave recently been engineered to prevent action potential generation in neurons during blue light illumination.[48][49] Light-driven ion pumps are also used to inhibit neuronal activity, e.g. halorhodopsin (NpHR),[50] enhanced halorhodopsins (eNpHR2.0 and eNpHR3.0, see Figure 2),[51] archaerhodopsin (Arch), fungal opsins (Mac) and enhanced bacteriorhodopsin (eBR).[52]
Optogenetic control of well-defined biochemical events within behaving mammals is now also possible. Building on prior work fusing vertebrate opsins to specific G-protein coupled receptors[53]a family of chimeric single-component optogenetic tools was created that allowed researchers to manipulate within behaving mammals the concentration of defined intracellular messengers such as cAMP and IP3 in targeted cells.[54] Other biochemical approaches to optogenetics (crucially, with tools that displayed low activity in the dark) followed soon thereafter, when optical control over small GTPases and adenylyl cyclase was achieved in cultured cells using novel strategies from several different laboratories.[55][56][57] Photoactivated adenylyl cyclases have been discovered in fungi and successfully used to control cAMP levels in mammalian neurons.[58][59] This emerging repertoire of optogenetic actuators now allows cell-type-specific and temporally precise control of multiple axes of cellular function within intact animals.[60]
Hardware for light application
Another necessary factor is hardware (e.g. integrated fiberoptic and solid-state light sources) to allow specific cell types, even deep within the brain, to be controlled in freely behaving animals. Most commonly, the latter is now achieved using the fiberoptic-coupled diode technology introduced in 2007,[61][62][63] though to avoid use of implanted electrodes, researchers have engineered ways to inscribe a "window" made of zirconia that has been modified to be transparent and implanted in mice skulls, to allow optical waves to penetrate more deeply to stimulate or inhibit individual neurons.[64] To stimulate superficial brain areas such as the cerebral cortex, optical fibers or LEDs can be directly mounted to the skull of the animal. More deeply implanted optical fibers have been used to deliver light to deeper brain areas.[65] Complementary to fiber-tethered approaches, completely wireless techniques have been developed utilizing wirelessly delivered power to headborne LEDs for unhindered study of complex behaviors in freely behaving organisms.[66]
Expression of optogenetic actuators
Optogenetics also necessarily includes the development of genetic targeting strategies such as cell-specific promoters or other customized conditionally-active viruses, to deliver the light-sensitive probes to specific populations of neurons in the brain of living animals (e.g. worms, fruit flies, mice, rats, and monkeys). In invertebrates such as worms and fruit flies some amount of all-trans-retinal (ATR) is supplemented with food. A key advantage of microbial opsins as noted above is that they are fully functional without the addition of exogenous co-factors in vertebrates.[63]

What determines the detection of a sensory stimulus? To address this question, Takahashi et al. combined in vivo two-photon imaging, electrophysiology, optogenetics, and behavioral analysis in a study of mice. Calcium signals in apical dendrites of pyramidal neurons in the somatosensory cortex controlled the perceptual threshold of the mice's whiskers. Strong reduction of dendritic calcium signaling impaired the perceptual detection threshold so that an identical stimulus could no longer be noticed.

Abstract
There is as yet no consensus concerning the neural basis of perception and how it operates at a mechanistic level. We found that Ca2+ activity in the apical dendrites of a subset of layer 5 (L5) pyramidal neurons in primary somatosensory cortex (S1) in mice is correlated with the threshold for perceptual detection of whisker deflections. Manipulating the activity of apical dendrites shifted the perceptual threshold, demonstrating that an active dendritic mechanism is causally linked to perceptual detection.

He has furthermore been “actively involved in . . . the Theoretical Biology Initiative at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, the Quantum Gravity Program at the University of Pennsylvania,” and the Santa Fe Institute, which “is a transdisciplinary research community that expands the boundaries of scientific understanding . . . to discover, comprehend, and communicate the common fundamental principles in complex physical, computational, biological, and social systems.”
The scope of Epstein’s various science projects spans research into genetics, neuroscience, robotics, computer science, and artificial intelligence (AI). Altogether, the convergence of these science subfields comprises an interdisciplinary science known as “transhumanism”: the artificial “perfection” of human evolution through humankind’s merger with technology. In fact, Epstein partners with Humanity+, a major transhumanism interest group.
Transhumanists believe that technologically “upgrading” humankind into a singularity will bring about a utopia in which “poor health, the ravages of old age and even death itself will all be things of the past.” In fact, eminent transhumanist Ray Kurzweil, chief of engineering at Google, believes that he will become “godlike” as a result of the singularity.
But the truth is that transhumanism is merely a more high-tech revision of eugenics conceptualized by eugenicist and UNESCO Director-General Julian Huxley. And when corporate philanthropists like pedophile Epstein—as well as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel, and Google executives such as Eric Schmidt and Larry Page—are the major bankrollers behind these transhumanism projects, the whole enterprise seems ominously reminiscent of the corporate-philanthropic funding of American and Nazi eugenics.
In America, Charles Davenport’s eugenics research at Cold Spring Harbor was bankrolled by elite financiers, such as the Harriman family, as well as robber barons and their nonprofit foundations such as the Rockefeller Foundation and the Carnegie Institute of Washington. Davenport collaborated with Nazi eugenicists who were likewise funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. In the end, these Rockefeller-funded eugenics programs contributed to the forced sterilization of over 60,000 Americans and the macabre human experimentation and genocide of the Nazi concentration camps. If history has shown us that these are the sordid bioethics that result from corporate-funded biosocial science, shouldn’t we be weary of the transhumanism projects of neo-robber barons like Epstein, Gates, Zuckerberg, Thiel, and the Google gang?
It should be noted that Epstein once sat on the board of Rockefeller University. At the same time, the Rockefeller Foundation—which has continued to finance Cold Spring Harbor programs as recently as 2010—also funds the Santa Fe Institute and the New York Academy of Sciences, both of which Epstein has been actively involved in.
The Rockefeller Foundation also funds the Malthusian-eugenic Population Council, which transhumanist Bill Gates likewise finances in carrying on the population reduction activism of his father, William H. Gates Sr.
And in 2013, the Rockefeller Foundation funded a transhumanistic white paper titled “Dreaming the Future of Health for the Next 100 Years,” which explores “[r]e-engineering of humans into separate and unequal forms through genetic engineering or mixed human-robots.”
So, considering that transhumanism—the outgrowth of eugenics—is being steered not only by twenty-first-century robber barons, but by corporatist monopoly men who are connected to the very transhumanist Rockefeller Foundation which funded Nazi eugenics, I suspect that transhumanist technology will not “upgrade” the common person. Rather, it will only be disseminated to the public in such a way—as Stanford University Professor Paul Saffo predicts—that converts social class hierarchies into bio(techno)logical hierarchies by artificially evolving the One Percent into a species separate from the “unfit” working poor, which will be downgraded as a slave class.
In his 1932 eugenic-engineering dystopia, Brave New World, Aldous Huxley (Julian’s brother) depicts how biotechnology, drugs, and psychological conditioning would in the future be used to establish a Scientific Caste System ruled by a global scientific dictatorship. But Huxley was not warning us with his novel. As historian Joanne Woiak demonstrates in her journal article entitled “Designing a Brave New World: Eugenics, Politics, and Fiction,” Aldous’ “brave new world can . . . be understood as a serious design for social reform” (105). In a 1932 essay, titled “Science and Civilization,” Huxley promoted his eugenic caste system: “in a scientific civilization society must be organized on a caste basis. The rulers and their advisory experts will be a kind of Brahmins controlling, in virtue of a special and mysterious knowledge, vast hordes of the intellectual equivalents of Sudras and Untouchables” (153-154).
With the aforementioned digital robber barons driving the burgeoning age of transhumanist neo-eugenics, I fear that Huxley’s Scientific Caste System may become a reality. And with Epstein behind the wheel, the new GMO Sudras will likely consist of not only unskilled labor slaves, but also child sex slaves who—like the preadolescents in Brave New World—will be brainwashed with “Elementary Sex” Education, which will inculcate them with a smash monogamy sexuality that will serve the elite “World Controllers.”

Epstein also connected Ms. Ruemmler with Ariane de Rothschild, who is now chief executive of the Swiss private bank Edmond de Rothschild Group. As Robert Van de Graaff's first PhD student, Trump helped build the first electrostatic generator to reach potentials above one megavolt, then worked on compact versions that could be installed in hosptals for x-ray cancer therapy. He later developed rotational radiation therapy, a technique allowing precise tumor targeting. While treating thousands of cancer patients on MIT's campus, Trump's lab team also focused on improving high-voltage machinery and researched its application in areas like food sterilization and wastewater treatment.
During World War II, Trump was a key figure in delivering radar equipment to allied forces through the MIT Rad Lab, the war's largest civilian science enterprise. In 1940, he joined the newly formed National Defense Research Committee(NDRC) as technical aide to MIT President Karl Compton. Trump became an assistant director of the Rad Lab, serving as liaison to the NDRC and leading its field service. In the last year of the War in Europe, he directed the British Branch of the Radiation Lab, where he organized radar deployment for D-Day operations and served as civilian advisor to American field generals in the campaign to liberate Europe.
After the war, Trump co-founded the High Voltage Engineering Corporation (HVE) and served as its first chairman. Using Van de Graaff's patents, HVE sold electrostatic generators to cancer clinics and large manufacturers. In the 1950s, it scaled them up to build particle accelerators for nuclear science laboratories. HVE became the earliest successful investment of the American Research and Development Corporation, the first modern venture capital fund.
President Ronald Reagan awarded Trump the National Medal of Science in Engineering Sciences in 1983 for his applications of radiation to medicine, industry, and nuclear physics. He received war service commendations from both President Harry Truman and King George VI. Many of his inventions remain in use: Trump installed the original Van de Graaff generator at Boston Museum of Science and HVE particle accelerators are active at laboratories worldwide.
Like his siblings, Trump attended Richmond Hill High School, where he was a gifted student.[5] He joined Western Electric's Manhattan engineering office in 1923, two years before it became known as Bell Labs.[7]
Both John Trump and his brother Fred joined their family real estate firm, and their mother hoped that Fred would build homes and John design them.[5] Trump enrolled at Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn to study architecture. The brothers' work together ended due to differences in business philosophy: Fred preferred to sell units, John thought they should only sell once finished.[5] By the end of his freshman year, John left the family real estate business and switched his concentration from architecture to engineering.[5]
Trump received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1929 as valedictorian.[8] While teaching electrical engineering at his alma mater, he earned his master's degree in physics from Columbia University's graduate school in 1931.[9][10]
MIT doctorate (1931–1933)
In 1931, Trump enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to pursue doctoral training in electrical engineering. When he arrived, MIT's leadership was focused on building the institute's reputation in basic physics.[11] Vannevar Bush, dean of MIT's engineering school, advised Trump to work with the young physicist Robert J. Van de Graaff, who was recently recruited to MIT to improve his newly invented electrostatic generator.[10][12] Particle physicists around the world were running breakthrough experiments with high-voltage generators, and MIT's leadership sought to demonstrate a 10-megavolt model of Van de Graaff's prototype.[12] Scaling up would require a high-power vacuum. To power the vacuum cylinder, Trump designed a synchronous alternating-current motor that was assembled in an MIT machine shop.[12]
Using Trump's motor, the 43-foot (13 m) experimental generator was successfully demonstrated at Round Hill in November 1933.[13][14] After the research station's closure, the generator was returned to MIT's campus in 1937.[13] The generator was moved to the new building of the Boston Museum of Science, where it remains in educational use today.[9]
Trump received his doctorate of electrical engineering in 1933.[12] His thesis, "Vacuum Electrostatic Engineering," examined the factors governing voltage-insulation strength in vacuums.[15] In addition to his work on motor design, his dissertation showed how insulated vacuum lines could be used for low-loss, long-distance transmission of direct current.[12] In 1932, Van de Graaff filed to patent components in the transmission system they developed, and Trump filed a further transmission patent in 1937, his first.[16] Federal government interest in Trump and Van de Graaff's transmission system prompted MIT to develop a patent policy, one of first to allow universities to benefit when scientific discoveries were found to have profitable commercial uses.[16]
Early applied research (1935–1941)
After graduating, Trump remained at MIT as a research associate, then became an assistant professor in 1936.[17] His research focused on improving high-voltage generators and finding new uses for them in industry.[18]
In 1932, Trump learned about an MIT lecture by radiologist George W. Holmes on medical uses of high-voltage x-rays.[19] Prevailing low-voltage radiotherapy techniques could only target superficial tissues and required long exposures that damaged skin.[20] Because Van de Graaff generators produced steadier high-voltage power than transformer-based generators, Trump hypothesized they could produce penetrating x-rays that could target deeper tumors.[12]
In May 1935, Trump showed that MIT's Van de Graaff generators could produce abundant x-rays.[19] With a grant from the Godfrey M. Hyams Trust, he built a 1-megavolt (MV) generator for Boston's Huntington Memorial Hospital, a cancer treatment center.[9][19][21] In March 1937, Trump's x-ray generator entered service at Huntington.[20]With a room-sized voltage terminal and a long focusing coil snaking into the treatment room below, Trump's machine was described as a "magnificent monster" by one of its operators.[19]Doctors reported that it provided "increased depth dosages, greater skin sparing, and greater intensity."[22] The first patient treated for skin cancer survived beyond four years.[21][20]However, Huntington Hospital survived only another four years, and the machine was shut down in 1941.[22]
Using pressurized gas, Trump made new generators smaller than the original, air-insulated models. He built a compact 1.25-MV generator for Massachusetts General Hospital in 1940, which treated patients for sixteen years.[10][20] Trump's pre-war x-ray experiments have been acknowledged as precursors to the field of radiosurgery.[23]
With World War II engulfing Europe and Asia, the United States military began expanding its fleet production. Trump investigated practical applications of x-rays in military industry. With Carlton G. Lutts, an engineer at Boston Navy Yard, Trump discovered that his high-voltage generator could detect manufacturing defects in ships and aircraft.[9]
War years (1941–1945)
During World War II, Trump interrupted his research from medical uses of x-rays to focus on military uses of microwave radar. In early 1940, he joined the newly formed National Defense Research Committee (NDRC) as technical aide to Karl Compton, president of MIT, who was serving also as the chairman of the radar division within the NDRC.[10][24] During 1942, Trump became secretary of the microwave committee, a sub-committee of the NDRC led by "millionaire physicist" Alfred Lee Loomis.[9]
Introduced to British innovations in high-power microwave signals, the NDRC pressed to fund secret civilian-led research in radar technologies. The new operation, opened at MIT in October 1940, came to be called the MIT Radiation Laboratory, or the "Rad Lab." Employing 4,000 people at its peak, the Rad Lab engineered groundbreaking devices and radar systems that were widely used in combat, including fire control, early warning, and blind bombing.
Working from MIT as a liaison to the NDRC, Trump served as an assistant director to Rad Lab head Lee DuBridge.[25] He was also appointed to lead the Rad Lab's Field Service, which cooperated with the U.S. Army and Navy to deploy and maintain radar sets in theaters of the war.[25]
In January 1943, Trump was asked by the U.S. Office of Alien Property Custodian to examine the notes, papers, and artifacts left by the inventor Nikola Tesla, who had died two days prior.[26] U.S. government officials believed the papers might contain designs for Tesla's promised high-voltage weapons, and were reluctant to have Tesla's nephew bring them to German-occupied Yugoslavia.[26][27] After a three-day investigation, Trump reported that the materials had no military value to the United States, nor would they be a "hazard in unfriendly hands."[26] In his assessment, Tesla's late-career projects were promotional and "did not include new sound workable principles or methods."[27]
In 1943, NDRC agreed to find the British Branch of the Rad Lab (BBRL) to coordinate invasion plans with the Telecommunications Research Establishment (TRE) at Malvern. From February 1944 to the end of the war in Europe, Trump was the director of the BBRL.[9]
During the war, Trump also served in the Advisory Specialist Group on Radar, advising USAAFGeneral Carl Spaatz on navigational radar, precision-bombing radar, and also defenses against the German radars found in their night-fighters and in their flak units. Trump worked with all the most important British radar experts, including Sir Robert Watson-Watt, A.P. Rowe, and Bernard Lovell.
In April 1945, Trump conducted debriefing interviews with the leadership of Telefunken, the telecommunications firm that developed Nazi radar and countermeasures. From these interviews, he determined that German radar development had fallen substantially behind British and American war efforts. Trump attributed this to the failure of German military leaders to closely cooperate with scientists and industry experts, as Allied forces had.[28]
Trump received recognition for his war-work partnership from both the United States and the United Kingdom.[17][29]
Post-war cancer research (1946–1973)
After the war, Trump returned to MIT and was appointed director of High Voltage Research Laboratory, a lab pursuing industrial applications of electrostatic energy.[12] Building upon his pre-war collaboration with area hospitals, Trump focused on applying high-voltage engineering to medical challenges, particularly cancer treatment.
Months after the war ended, Trump began work with his Huntington colleagues to treat cancer patients at a 3-MV generator building on MIT's campus.[30] Having discovered a way to reach deep-seated cancer lesions while sparing intervening tissues, he worked on methods to improve targeting. Trump designed an apparatus to rotate the patient around the beam, allowing x-rays to be cross-fired at the tumor site.[30][31] This technique, known as "rotational radiation therapy," remains widely used in radiotherapy.
In 1949, Trump began a two-decade collaboration with the Lahey Clinic, Boston's leading cancer hospital.[32][33] Over the next 22 years, over 500 cancer patients a year received treatment at MIT using Trump's x-ray generator.[34] Trump supervised treatments, improved targeting techniques, and personally trained many doctors in their use.[18] For many years, he taught radiation physics to early-career doctors.[35] The lab also focused on skin cancer treatment, designing a 5-MV electron-beam generator for targeting superficial lesions.[32][34]
Despite advances in supervoltage (>1MeV) generators, few hospitals had machinery to allow high-voltage cancer treatment by the 1940s.[31]After receiving many requests from hospitals for his generator, Trump oversaw a commercialization effort to meet demand.[31] He designed a compact, low-cost 2-MV Van de Graaff generator, then founded a firm to build them.[30][31] Between 1948 and 1969, the High Voltage Engineering Corporation manufactured 43 of these 2-MV machines, which treated as many as 1,000 patients a day in the United States alone.[22]
By the time Trump was appointed full professor in 1952, his cancer research devices had received worldwide attention.[31][10][18] He attracted support from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation, each of which were building major cancer research operations. His 1960 Lamme Medal citation, given for his contributions to electrical engineering, also acknowledged his stature among radiologists and observed that Trump had "remain[ed] faithful to his original goals in the treatment of malignant diseases."[10] In 1963, Trump was appointed to the board of the Lahey Clinic, and became its chair after retiring his professorship in 1973.[32]Throughout this period, he published widely in radiology and scientific instrument journals.
Compact Van de Graaff machines were among the earliest x-ray machines that could target deep tumors with precision. However, their voltages were effectively limited to 3–4 MeV, restricting their targeting depth and extending the required duration of treatment.[19][22] A 1968 global census of radiotherapy devices showed that they were being eclipsed by linear accelerators, or "linacs."[22] Linacs, which have greater beam stability, smaller forms, and higher voltages than their predecessors—are now the most prevalent devices for deep tumor radiotherapy.[19] Trump's innovations influenced this next generation of higher-voltage radiotherapy devices. Ed Ginzton, who built the first medical linear accelerator in 1956, assembled it inside the housing of Trump's 2-MeV model and borrowed its rotational setup.[36]
High Voltage Engineering Corporation
In 1946, Trump approached MIT President Karl Compton about commercializing his 2-MeV generator for hospital use.[31] Compton had championed the Van de Graaff generator's development since the 1930s and Trump's proposal aligned with his post-war ambitions.[31]Compton had recently co-founded the American Research and Development Corporation (ARD), the first closed-end venture capital fund, focused on forming new American industries from high-tech research.[37][38] ARD president Georges Doriot offered Trump $200,000 to start the High Voltage Engineering Corporation (HVE), Compton provided an exclusive license to MIT's Van de Graaff patents, and both served on HVE's board.[31] HVE would become the second start-up backed by ARD, and later its first successful investment.[37]
The company's original leadership consisted of Trump, Van de Graaff, and Dennis Robinson, a British engineer Trump met through the Rad Lab and recruited as HVE's chief executive.[39] Trump, who held a 13.3 percent stake in the firm, served as its founding chairman and technical director.[18][39] Working out of a Cambridge parking garage, HVE initially built Trump's compact Van de Graaff for hospitals and manufacturers.[18][38]Although the 2-MeV machines sold immediately, they faced competitive threats from other radiotherapy technologies like colbalt-60 machines.[31]
Growing federal support for nuclear science enabled HVE to invest in a higher-margin product: research particle accelerators for university and government labs.[31][40] Initially, its 2-MeV hospital accelerator found customers in nuclear science, and orders came from the Naval Research Laboratory, Brookhaven National Laboratory, and European universities.[31] In 1955, HVE was contracted to design a pioneering 5-MeV tandem accelerator for Chalk River Laboratories in Ottawa. The firm invested heavily in building higher-power tandem machines, and Trump and Van de Graaff supplied ideas for increasing their scale and voltage.[41][42] HVE would manufacture a further 55 tandem accelerators for research labs around the world.[43] The firm's largest and last successful model, the "MP" or "emperor tandem," debuted in 1963.[43] HVE tandem accelerators were prized for their precision, maintainability, and easy-to-upgrade design.[39]
In the scientific particle accelerators business, HVE had little competition, high net earnings, and a full book of orders through the late 1950s.[39][40] Setting up a production plant in Burlington, Massachusetts, HVE grew to over 1,400 employees and built at least 500 generators across all models.[42][44] By 1957, it had provided a ten-fold return to early investors.[40] HVE was ARD's most successful investment for its first decade and effectively assured the fund's survival.[40][37]
HVE remained profitable into the late 1960s, when federal funding for accelerator purchases fell.[42][41] Thereafter, the company was beset with product development issues and competitive threats. Labs reported operational problems with HVE's emperor tandem and began eyeing competitors' models.[41] The firm placed its bets on building Van de Graaff's enormous 20-MeV "transuranium accelerator," but the Atomic Energy Commission refused to fund its purchase.[41] Van de Graaff died in 1967, leaving the firm without its famed scientist. HVE's MIT leadership began leaving active management, though Trump provided technical advice until 1978.[41][42] After 1971, National Electrostatics Corporation, a competitor founded by Trump's longtime associate Ray Herb, booked all orders for tandem accelerators.[43] Under new leadership, HVE sold its Burlington plant, divested from the accelerator business, and focused on its conglomerate businesses that manufactured smaller industrial products.[41][42]
Holding HVE shares until his death, Trump made no personal fortune from the firm's years of profitability.[39] Several years after Trump's death, HVE accepted a buyout from a South African private equity firm.[42] Denis Robinson, its first chief executive, said the real estate Trump convinced HVE to buy on Massachusetts Route 128 would later sell at a value as high as many years of HVE's profits.[9][18]
Wastewater experiments (1974–1985)
In 1972, Congress passed new Clean Water Actstandards for secondary treatment of wastewater discharged into oceans and waterways. New rules gave cities five years to make major upgrades to sewage treatment.[45] Trump, who had longstanding interests in sterilization methods, initiated a new program at MIT concentrated on disinfecting wastewater. He researched using an electron beam from a 2-MeV accelerator as the deactivating agent in the treatment of municipal wastewater sludge.[18] The High Voltage Research Laboratory developed a prototype system that was tested at Boston's Deer Island Waste Water Treatment Plant, and it was able to provide bacterial and viral disinfection via continuous on-line treatment.[46]
Trump retired from his faculty appointment in 1973, but continued to running wastewater experiments and teaching MIT students as a senior lecturer.[29] He directed the High Voltage Research Laboratory until stepping down in 1980.[12] Trump remained engaged in wastewater research until the year of his death.[18]
Trump died in Cambridge, Massachusetts on February 21, 1985.[29][47]
Science education
Trump became a trustee of the Boston Museum of Science in 1961.[48] When the museum installed the original Van de Graff generator as a permanent exhibition, he designed electrostatic shielding that allowed live audience demonstrations.[18] He became a life trustee of the museum.[18]
Legacy
President Ronald Reagan awarded Trump the National Medal of Science in 1983 for his innovative applications of radiation in medicine, industry and atomic physics.[49] Trump died six days before the White House ceremony in February 1985, and his son John, Jr. accepted the medal on his behalf.[17][50] In a posthumous tribute, the National Academy of Engineeringdescribed John Trump as "a pioneer in the scientific, engineering and medical applications of high voltage machinery."[17]
During his career, Trump tested dual uses of high-voltage radiation during war, worked on the development of military radar, and sold particle accelerators to military research labs. After his death, some collaborators maintained that Trump declined to pursue research in offensive weaponry. James Melcher, a non-proliferation advocate who held the title of HVRL director after Trump, said: "John, over a period of three decades, would be approached by people of all sorts because he could make megavolt beams of ions and electrons – death rays... What did he do with it? Cancer research, sterilizing sludge out in Deer Island, all sorts of wondrous things. He didn't touch the weapons stuff."[51][52]
In addition to his cancer research, Trump made institutional contributions to the Lahey Clinic. While chair of its board, he advocated for the relocation of the cancer clinic to a new hospital campus in Burlington, Massachusetts. The radiation oncology building of the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is named for Trump. In 2024, one of his scientific collaborators endowed a fund at Lahey for diagnostic radiation named for Trump.[53]
Trump held his professorship for 37 years, appointed at age 27 and retiring at MIT's then-mandatory retirement age of 65. He remained on MIT's faculty as a senior lecturer for another twelve years. Although Donald Trump has frequently claimed his uncle was the longest serving professor in the history of MIT, this is not accurate.[54] Julius Stratton, who joined MIT's Department of Electrical Engineering eight years before Trump, retired in 1966 after 38 years as an MIT professor.[55] Nevertheless, Trump's young appointment as professor allowed him to serve nearly the maximum possible tenure under MIT's retirement policies. Congress prohibited mandatory faculty retirement in 1986, allowing later professors to serve longer careers.[56]

Listed below are nine proofs that Lynn Forester de Rothschild was intimately involved with Jeffrey Epstein to some capacity. I have not speculated as to what capacity that is. This article is rather long, and aimed at addressing valid scepticism for these proofs by providing solid evidence alongside auxiliary and contextual information. Over 80 different sources have been used. These range from court filings, financial filings, photographs, newspapers of record, and tabloid papers too. None of the primary evidence relies on a weak source such as a tabloid, even though at times they have provided better coverage of the Epstein network than newspapers targeted to the professional classes.
1) Lynn Forester de Rothschild’s brother Ken owned and operated a private terminal at Teterboro airport in New Jersey under the name Million Air. Teterboro airport was the travel hub of Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking operation. Million Air is listed in Jeffrey Epstein's blackbook.
2) Lynn Forester de Rothschild wrote a letter to Bill Clinton in 1995 mentioning a discussion she had with President Clinton regarding Epstein.
3) During course of 1997 and 1998 Lynn Forester de Rothschild made five separate trips with Jeffrey Epstein on his plane.
4) In 2000 Lynn Forester de Rothschild sold a Manhattan town house to Jeffrey Epstein for $8.5 million below its market value. Ghislaine Maxwell moved into this townhouse shortly after and lived there until 2015.
5) There is evidence to suggest Lynn Forester de Rothschild may have introduced Jeffrey Epstein to Alan Dershowitz, Nathan Myhrvold, Prince Andrew, and Bill Clinton.
6) Lynn Forester de Rothschild began her career at a law firm tangentially associated with the District Attorney whose office attempted to down grade Epstein’s sex offender status in 2011.
7) In 2013 Lynn Forester de Rothschild was placed on an advisory board of DeutscheBank, which at the time was trying to expand its US clientele. A month after her appointment DeutscheBank recruited Jeffrey Epstein as a client.
8) The 2015 release of the Jeffrey Epstein's flight logs sealed four out of the five pages logging flights Lynn Forester had taken with him. A pattern in the flight log pages sealed suggests this was intentional.
9) Lynn Forester de Rothschild's husband, Evelyn de Rothschild, was a listed contact in Jeffrey Epstein's blackbook, yet she is not.
Ken Forester's Million Air, Teterboro Airport, and Jeffrey Epstein
Lynn Forester's father, John Kenneth Forester, served in the US Army Air Corps during WW2. Afterwards he founded the company Mallard Air Services in 1946 at Teterboro airport, New Jersey. Mallard offered maintenance and aircraft conversion services. The company underwent a collection of name changes: Mallard became General Aviation Company in 1958, which became Million Air Franchise in 1986, and finally Meridian in 2006. ~ 20
The company was inherited by Lynn's brother Ken Forester in 1974. It has maintained its operational permanence at Teterboro airport since inception, and currently operates one of the five private airport terminals at that location, which are called Fixed Base Operators (FBOs). These five FBOs facilitate the arrivals and departures of those flying privately in and out of New York. Meridian being the largest. ~ 21
Between 1995 and 2013, three of Jeffrey Epstein’s private planes, tail numbers: N908JE, N120JE, and N212JE; flew at least a combined 730 flights in and out of Teterboro. Which would make it the travel nexus of any woman he sex trafficked during that time. ~ 1
From 1986 until 2006, Meridian as it is now called, was operating under the company name Million Air. There are two contact numbers for Million Air in Jeffrey Epstein’s black book, under a section marked “Pilot Information”.

Lynn Forester The Businesswoman
Lynn began her higher education at a private liberal arts college on the west coast called Pomona College, from which she graduated cum laude and member of the distnguished Phi Beta Kappa society 1976
Since the society's inception in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa has produced 17 presidents, 40 supreme court justices, 136 Nobel laureates, and a flux of around fifty members of Congress or the Senate at any given period. ~ 3
After graduating Lynn returned to the East coast and attended Colombia Law, where she met her first husband Alexander Platt. They both received Rotary International Graduate Fellowships and attended the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva Switzerland from 1978-’79. ~ 4
Lynn graduated from Columbia Law in 1980 and began her professional career with the New York firm Simpson, Thacher & Barkett that same year.
Simpson, Thacher & Barkett was the firm statesman Cyrus R. Vance was partnered in. Vance most notably succeeded Henry Kissinger as Secretary of State within Jimmy Carter's administration in 1976. He resigned from the role in 1980 and returned to the Simpson, Thacher & Barklett firm in New York. This was the same year Lynn began working there and she would later establish a social and business relationship with Henry Kissinger in the late 1990s. From 1988-’90 Cyrus Vance was the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He also served on the board of Pan American Airways, IBM, and was a senior member of the Council on Foreign Relations, of which Lynn would later become a member. ~ 42.
Perhaps Lynn was introduced to high society, including her soon to be husband Andrew Stein, via Cyrus Vance's expansive network. It's also possible she would've known Vance's son, Cyrus Vance Jr, as all three were in New York during the early 1980s. ~ 42
Cyrus R. Vance Jr
Cyrus R. Vance Jr began working for N.Y District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau in 1980 after having graduated from Georgetown. Robert Kennedy Jr also began working there that same year ~ 5 . Robert Kennedy Jr’s house is mentioned as the location Lynn and President Clinton discussed Jeffrey Epstein in her 1995 letter. ~ 40
“Mr. Vance spent two years working in sales for an oil company before going to law school at Georgetown. He then returned to Manhattan to work as an assistant district attorney, joining the office the same year as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and earning $20,000 a year. “

When Robert Morgenthau retired in 2009 Vance Jr was elected District Attorney of New York and took over his office. This is relevant because in 2011 a lawyer who specialised in sex crimes and worked for Cyrus Vance Jr inexplicably attempted to downgrade Jeffrey Epstein’s status as a sex offender. ~ 6

Andrew Stein
Lynn worked at Simpson, Thacher & Barkett until 1984, during which time she divorced her first husband Alexander Platt to remarry in 1983. Her new husband, Andrew Stein, was Borough President of Manhattan at the time ~ 7. She had two children with Stein before their divorce in 1993. A year prior to their separation a gunman had somehow managed to get into their sixth floor Manhattan apartment and take their two children and the babysitter hostage, supposedly robbing the place before fleeing with a $100 cash taken from the babysitter ~ 8. Lynn's eldest son Ben, only six at the time, would travel with his mother on Epstein's plane just five years later at age eleven.
A Vanity Fair article from 2019 claims an ex-girlfriend of Epstein's heard him boast that he was a close friend of Lynn's and helped her out financially during her divorce from Stein.
“Epstein also said that his friend Lynn Forester, now married to billionaire Evelyn de Rothschild, needed his financial help during her 1990s divorce from politician Andrew Stein, and that he had graciously floated her. “One hundred percent false,” says a spokesperson for Forester.”

It was through her then husband Lynn likely met Donald Trump. Trump was a substantial campaign contributor to Stein during the years preceding a license renewal for one of his casinos in 1987. There was an investigation into the casino license at the time, which also had something to do with Genovese crime family, and naturally, money laundering. ~ 10 - page 87.
It appears the two maintained a close relationship as Stein was still scuttling around in a Trump Shuttle charter jet in 1989.
Trump Shuttle was formerly Eastern Airlines Shuttle, and Trump would later sell it on to USAir Group Inc. He had previously taken on a fleet of 23 727s for a brief period as part of a cluster fuck deal marking his upward trajectory into the 1990s. This deal was his acquisition of Resorts International in 1987, which was a well known CIA cutout formerly called the Mary Carter Paint Company.
This saga warrants its own attention, as in the early 1990s Trump ends up on the brink of bankruptcy multiple times, and Wilbur Ross is there to restructure his debt obligations in each case, which allowed Trump to keep all three of his casino’s. Ross was working as a senior director of Rothschild Inc. at this time. In 2016 Ross was appointed Secretary of Commerce in Trump’s Administration, and was one the few appointments never fired. ~ 11, 12, 13
Metromedia
Lynn left her law firm in 1984 to work for John Kluge at Metromedia Inc., which began her foray into the communications industry extending until the late 1990s. While there she was Executive Vice President of Development from 1985 to 1989.
Metromedia at this time was conglomerating independent television stations into affiliated groups through the acquisition, packaging and subsequent sale of licensing deals. In 1986 Metromedia sold a collection of their stations to Rupert Murdoch, who used them to form the Fox TV network. The licences for these channels subsequently became affiliated, alongside CBS, with the Sinclair Broadcasting Group. ~14
It’s unclear what exactly was going on with licensing during this period, but a rough idea can be observed from the result:
Lynn's business activities during and after her time at Metromedia become rather convoluted, with different sources giving conflicting information. An SEC filing for one of her companies gives a resume of her career up until 1997. And a Wall Street Journal article from 1999 provides an illuminating professional profile on her throughout that period. ~ 16

In 1993, Ms. Forester was appointed by President Clinton to the U.S. National Information Infrastructure Advisory Council, and in 1994 was elected a Global Leader of Tomorrow by the Davos World Economic Forum. She currently serves as a director of Next Level Communications, Inc. From February 1995 to January 2000, Ms. Forester was a director of General Instrument Corporation and its predecessors, and from March 1997 to July 1999 she was a director of Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation.

A series of companies and holding companies bearing the name FirstMark were the focus of Lynn's business ventures into and through the 1990s. It appears that they account for the bulk of her interdependently amassed wealth before marrying into the Rothschild family in 2000.

Henry Kissenger reportedly introduced Lynn and Evelyn de Rothschild at a Bilderberg meeting in Scotland in 1998 ~ 18. Lynn and Kissinger were perhaps introduced by Cyrus Vance, who as formerly mentioned replaced Kissinger as Sec of State, was Lynn's former boss at Simpson Thacher & Barkett, and whose son’s District Attorney’s office tried to have Epstein’s sex offender status down graded in 2011.

Nathan Myhrvold was formerly the CFO at Microsoft and there is a multitude of evidence establishing a relationship between him and Jeffrey Epstein.

A Vanity Fair source in a 2019 article provides the following:
“Myhrvold has been close with Epstein for years. A source told me that Epstein visited Myhrvold’s investment firm, Intellectual Ventures, and brought along “young girls” who looked like “Russian models.” The source added that Myhrvold spoke openly about borrowing Epstein’s private jet and staying at Epstein’s houses in Palm Beach and Manhattan. “

In response to Virginia Guffre’s accusation that Jeffrey Epstein forced her to have sex with him, Alan Dershowitz claimed that Virginia Guffre had mistaken him for Nathan Myhrvold. ~ 23

The property was purchased by her in 1997 for $4.4 million. She then sold the property in 2000 to a shell company called '116 EAST 65TH STREET, LLC' for $4.95 Million, $8.5 million below its estimated market value ~ 29.
This shell company she sold it to was incorporated by Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyer Darren Indyke, and was registered at 457 Madison Avenue - Forth Floor, which was where Epstein’s business offices were located ~ 30.
Ghislaine Maxwell moved into the property not long after it was solf and lived there until 2015, when it sold for $15 million. Maxwell’s Ocean foundation Terramar was registered at this address.

116 East 65th Street is just around the corner from 301 East 66th Street, a property Jeffrey Epstein had acquired in a similar fashion from Leslie Wexner. 301 East 66th St was an apartment block used by Epstein to house underage models. ~ 32
Bronfman E.l. Rothschild, L.p
Bronfman E.l Rothschild L.p was an incorporated mutual asset fund controlled by Michael Bronfman of the Canadian Seagram’s dynasty and Lynn Forester de Forester ~ 34 . It was incorporated in 2013 but underwent some cosmetic transformations in 2019, changing its operating brand to Wealthspire Advisors, L.P; though it still appears linked to Bronfman E.l Rothschild L.p in SEC filings. As of September 2020, the fund was valued at $2,836,105,000. ~ 33
It was in 2019 Michael Bronfman’s sister’s, Sara and Clair Bronfman, made the news when it was discovered that the leader of a multi-level marketing company called NVIXM, which had been financed for over a decade by the Bronfman family trust, had been operating a sex slave cult involved in a whole host of crimes. ~ 35.
‘Guru’ Keith Raniere and a secret female-only sect within NVIXM, called DOS, had been cultivating a secret society from its membership whose activities included branding woman and using them as sex slaves. When this was exposed so too were other crimes such as sex trafficking minors. ~ 36. For her involvement Claire Bronfman was sentenced to six years in prison. Sara Bronfman on the other hand, despite having brought her sister into NXIVM in 2003 and having arranged such things as an ordination for Keith Raniere by the Dali Lama; presciently cut ties with NXIVM in 2016, just before the cults activities began surface. ~ 37
I'll digress with a rare conjecture, as this topic is more synchronous to Lynn Forester de Rothschild and Jeffrey Epstein than tangential.
But Sara Bronfman's luck, or foresight, or whatever you would call it in avoiding prosecution, may have had something to do with her 2012 marriage to a Libyan businessman named Basit Igtet.
The two had tied the knot about a year after Qaddafi was sodomised to death and Libya was opened up to Western capital. Igtet had been appointed to the Libyan National Transitional Council in 2011, which was tasked with navigating the country through the turbulent power vacuum left in Qaddafi's wake, into a custodian government more pliant to Western needs.
Once the custodian government was in place and ready to ratify policy, Igtet travelled to Libya to assist the reorganisation of its economy to suit the subtle, or maybe not so, extraction of its resources, through the ownership of one of its freshly minted energy companies. ~ 38
Sara’s union with Igtet, who was a Libyan national but internationally educated—thus trusted, could’ve been a discrete avenue for wealth to flow from a newly opened market and into a Western asset fund such as Bronfman E.l Rothschild L.p via family trust’s. As the Bronfman’s now own a portion of the previously nationalised Libyan energy sector through Sarah’s husband.
The unmarried Claire Bronfman on the other hand, had seemingly neither the business acumen required for the guardianship of family assets, nor the menacing conviviality of a socialite facilitating trusts for the former. Perhaps she was viewed as a burdensome dilution of the Bronfman estate, and thus a family black sheep became a scapegoat.
Lynn Forester de Rothschild, Political Powerbroker
Lynn Forester de Rothschild first got involved in politics back in 1976 when had worked on the successful senatorial campaign of Democrat Daniel Patrick Moynihan. ~ 39

Hillary Clinton began her political career as a Senator from New York. The seat which she won in 2000 was the same one previously held by Daniel Moynihan, who had resigned it the previous year.
A major backer of Hillary’s senatorial campaign was Lynn Forester de Rothschild, who as mentioned had worked on the campaign to elect Moynihan to this very same senate seat in 1976. Lynn also appears to have maintained a close relationship to Senator Moynihan over those 25 years, as the Senator and his wife hosted a private wedding party for Lynn and Evelyn Rothschild in 2000, also attended by Hillary Clinton. ~ 39.

In A Convenient Death: The Mysterious Demise of Jeffrey Epstein, a true crime book written by Alana Goodman and Daniel Harper, claims one of Epstein's former Lawyers said Lynn Forester de Rothschild introduced Jeffrey Epstein to Bill Clinton.
“But his real introduction to Clinton. According to one of Epstein’s former lawyers, was through Lynn Forester. . .So it was no surprise that when Forester had a chance to talk to Clinton during a dinner at Senator Ted Kennedy’s house in 1995. the two ended up chatting about Epstein instead of the social welfare policy she had intended to discuss.”

If the source is real, assuming it isn't made up using the same information clearly found in the letter, then the lawyer in question could perhaps be Darren Indyke, who facilitated the sale of 116 East 65th Street between Lynn and Epstein.
Lynn Forester de Rothschild and Hillary Clinton
In 1999 the Clinton’s spent their two week Presidential holiday at Martha’s Vineyard and attended the celebration of Evelyn de Rothschild’s birthday on August 29th , organised by Lynn at her estate. It is at this event Prince Andrew is alleged to have been introduced to Epstein by Forester. This is covered in the subsequent section, Lynn and the Royals.
When Lynn and Evelyn married in 2000, the Clinton’s hosted them over night at the White House for their honeymoon. ~ 39
It is safe to assume that Lynn’s relationship with the couple was well established by 1999, well before when Bill Clinton is first recorded as having flown with Epstein on February 9th 2002; a relationship which would be sustained on paper until a final flight on November 9th 2003.
As mentioned, Lynn was a major backer of Hillary Clinton’s political debut in 1999 and had long standing ties with Senator Moynihan, whose seat Hillary inherited.
After eight years served as a senator from New York, Hillary ran an unsuccessful primary campaign against Barrack Obama in 2008. Lynn was a major backer of this campaign also, and upon losing the primary to Obama, switched parties and backed Republican nominee John McCain instead. ~ 43

Lynn’s primary contact within Hillary’s campaign appears to have been a senior political adviser called Cheryl Mills. Mills has a long standing history with the Clinton’s dating back to before a scandal involving an apparent burglary of legal papers from her car pertaining to the lawyer Vincent Foster and The Whitewater Development Company. Peter Mandelson, UK Labour MP
Peter Mandelson is a UK politician known as Tony Blair’s right hand man in the "New Labour" government of the 1990s.
Mandelson is a longtime personal friend of Ghislaine Maxwell, Prince Andrew, and Jeffrey Epstein. He also allegedly served alongside Prince Andrew as a witness to Lynn’s marriage to Evelyn de Rothschild in 2000. ~ 50.
He did attend a private lunch at the Rothschild's NY residence in 2004 ~ 53.
Mandelson’s relationship to Epstein dates back to 2002 when he attended a dinner party held at Epstein’s NY townhouse, which also attended by Mort Zuckerman, Sergey Brin, David Blaine, Donald Trump, Leslie Wexner, and Bill Clinton aide Doug Band. ~ 51.

In 2009 it is alleged that while Epstein was in jail he received a call from Mandelson, asking if Epstein if he could be introduced to JP Morgan banker Jamie Dimon. ~ 52
Both Mandelson and Lynn Forester de Rothschild were appointed to the same Deutschebank advisory board, tasked with expanding the banks US clientele, one month prior to Epstein becoming a client of the bank. This is covered in further detail in a later section.
Lynn Forester de Rothschild and The Royals
Evelyn de Rothschild has served as financial adviser to Queen Elizabeth, a role for which he has been knighted in service of, though further more, the historical ties between the Houses of Windsor(Saxe-Coburg and Gotha) and Rothschild are well established, going back to the early 19th century.
Thus, Lynn’s connection to Royalty is clearly through her husband Evelyn.
The only other known connection to Royalty Epstein had was through Ghislaine Maxwell, whose inroad to Royal society appears strictly limited to Prince Andrew himself. Which suggests Epstein was most likely introduced to Prince Andrew, primarily, through either Ghislaine Maxwell or Lynn Forester de Rothschild.
Prince Andrew
In an interview given to the BBC Prince Andrew claims we was introduced to Epstein through Maxwell in 1999. In the same interview he said he met Maxwell when she was an undergraduate at Oxford in the 1980s. Given who Maxwell’s father was I find it believable this could’ve been the case.
It's possible the introduction of Prince Andrew to Epstein was facilitated by his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, who after their divorce in 1996 is found to have met with Epstein on 16th April 1998. This is the same year she introduced Prince Andrew to a woman he began dating called Heather Mann. Heather Mann had been on a number of flights with Epstein in 1997, one of which the only other passenger was Lynn Forester de Rothschild travelling to Martha’s Vineyard. This will be covered in greater detail.

When Ghislaine Maxwell came under fire for her relationship to Jeffrey Epstein, a number of a tabloid magazines began publishing rumours spread by apparent friends of Maxwell, claiming that Lynn Forester de Rothschild had in fact made the introduction between Epstein and Prince Andrew at her Hampton's property in 1999.
“In fact, friends claim the introduction was made by glamorous socialite Lynn Forester de Rothschild in 1999 at a birthday party she threw for her British billionaire husband, Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, in the Hamptons, the exclusive beach resort outside New York."

These photographs show Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and possibly Ghislaine Maxwell were in attendance at the Martha’s Vineyard Rothschild birthday celebration on August 29th 1999.
According to flight logs Epstein had flown into Palm Beach on the 26th of August from the Virgin Islands. Ghislaine Maxwell was not a passenger on this flight. However Epstein and Maxwell flew together from Palm Beach to Teterboro NJ on the 28th, one day after the photograph was taken of the unidentified woman with Bill Clinton in Martha's Vineyard on the 27th.

There is, possibly, a rather interesting article of dubious existence, supposedly written in 2001 by Sharon Churcher for the Daily Mail, titled “Can Lynn rescue Andrew’s image? Sir Everlyn de Rothschild’s socialite wife has gathered some of America’s most influential media figure to cleanup the Duke of York’s image.”
I say dubious because I cannot find the article. The only available scanned copies of Daily Mail archives are pay-walled. The online digital archives on the Daily Mail site has an inconsistent amount of article entries listed for the 6th of May 2001, depending on which date you view the sites image in the wayback machine. ~ Daily Mail Archives, 6th May 2001, Wayback Machine Archives.
All that I have found that indicates the article may have existed are secondary sources.
The first is a 2015 article written by someone called Gerry Bello from a website I'm unfamiliar with, The Outside News:

Peter Mandelson and Ghislaine Maxwell are mentioned in a 2001 Guardian article about the rehabilitation of Prince Andrew’s images and his return to public life. ~ 60
2001 is when Prince Andrew transitioned from his position in the British Navy to a diplomatic role as a British trade envoy. It appears Peter Mandelson helped facilitate the pivot. It also appears that his appointment as trade envoy marks a period in which his contact with Epstein becomes much more frequent.
There is some ambiguity as to Prince Andrew’s appearance in the flight logs due to him being listed under the initial's A P. According to one pilot David Rogers, the initial’s had been used for Epstein’s chef Adam Perry in 1998. There are multiple trips made in 1998 and 1999 by an A P, though it’s hard to know exactly when A P became Prince Andrew, or if it continued to be used interchangeably with Epstein’s chef.
It does seem likely Andrew travelled at least once with Epstein before August 29th 1999, when Lynn allegedly introduced him to Epstein. On April 11th that year an A P, Epstein, Maxwell, and a ‘Charles’ flew from Miami to New Jersey.

She appears in Epstein's flight log five times through the course of 1997 and 1998.
First Flight
The first trip is on Feb 17th 1997, travelling from West Palm Beach to Teterboro with six others: Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, Glenn Dubin, Celina Dubin, Eva Dubin, and her son Ben Stein Forester, eleven at the time.

Her second on June 21st 1997, travelling from Teterboro, New Jersey to Martha’s Vineyard with two other passengers: Jeffrey Epstein and Heather Mann.

As previously mentioned, Lynn owns an estate at Martha’s Vineyard which was used to host a birthday party for her future husband Evelyn Rothschild in 1999, attended by both Prince Andrew and President Clinton.
The third passenger, Heather Mann, is a model who began dating Prince Andrew in 1998. Prince Andrew was introduced to Heather Mann by his former wife, Sarah Ferguson.~ 61.
But it appears Sarah Ferguson was introduced to Heather Mann by Jeffrey Epstein.

Her fourth flight is on September 25th 1998, travelling from Teterboro New Jersey to Washington DC returning the same day with one other passenger, Jeffrey Epstein.

This flight is interesting. Since it was to Washington, departing and returning the same day, with the only passengers being herself and Epstein; it’s fair to speculate the purpose pertained to a specific matter in relation to a branch of government, or at least insinuates as much.
Firstly, It’s highly unlikely the purpose was to meet with either of the Clinton’s. I checked both their daily schedules for 25th Sept 1998. Bill was in press conferences from 8am before flying out of state at 9am, and Hillary was already out of state. Neither returned to Washington. If they did meet with Bill, it would’ve been briefly prior to 8am. This seems unlikely.
Lynn was a member of the National Information Infrastructure Advisory Committee for the Clinton Administration since 1992, though I'm unsure if she still held this position after 1996.
Epstein did have an on going matter involving the State Department at this time though. He had been in an ongoing legal dispute with the with them over a property that formerly housed the Iranian embassy, which the department had leased Epstein in 1992 and he had sub-leased to another tenant at a profit in 1996. ~ 62
On Sept 22nd 1998 Epstein’s lawyer files “Certificate of service of Second Amended S&C as to Jeffrey E. Epstein by Steven Cohen, atty, on 12/23/97 ”, which appears to be an amendment by Epstein’s lawyer to an original filing in 1997 of their counter-suit against the State Department. I could be wrong.But it's filed three days prior to Lynn and Epstein's flight to the Capitol.
This case is then settled some months laters on Feb 3rd 1999 - “The United States Dept of State shall keep the security deposit of Jeffrey E. Epstein in the principal amount of $12,000.00, plus all interest accrued thereon ; Upon the release of the escrowed monies set forth in this order and the delivery of the certified check set forth herein, the Government will file an order of dismissal with the Court dismissing the action against all defendants except Diane Fisher ” ~ 62
Epstein had been renting the State Department property for $15,000/m and subletting it for $20,000/m, netting him a monthly $5000 profit. ~ 63
“things went sour when the government sued Epstein in the Southern District of New York, alleging that he had at one point failed to pay the rent on time and had violated the lease by moving out in early 1996 and subletting the place without the State Department’s permission.
. . .An eviction order was served on July 16, 1998, and the marshal noted on the service receipt that the tenants had moved out. ” ~ 63
If we are to place “early 1996” as far forward as April, Epstein sublet the property for a total of 24 months. That’s $120,000 in profit. Even after deducting legal fees it’s fair to argue losing the $12,000 bond was a favourable outcome for him.
The case does seem rather insignificant and I’m inclined to believe this was unrelated. Though possibly there’s more to the case than meets the eye.
Fifth Flight
The final recorded flight was on the 29th of November 1998, flying from Miami to New Jersey, passengers being: Jeffrey Epstein, Mark Epstein, Ghislaine maxwell, Lynn Forester, Glenn Dubin, Celina Dubin, and Eva Andersson-Dubin.

Four of Lynn Forester de Rothschild's Flights Sealed
There have been two releases of Epstein's flight logs. A partially sealed version submitted as part of Virginia Giuffre's 2015 lawsuit. This version was then unsealed in 2019 and is the one I've been referencing. The sealed 2015 version, which is the most readily available when searched for online, only contains the fourth flight taken by Lynn on the 25th of September 1998, the trip to Washington.
This is because the sealed version removes all the pages prior to December 14 1997. It includes pages beginning from this date until the 20th of November 1998, after which all pages are then sealed again until March 23 1999, from which point all pages are then included for the next seven years until 2006.
The flight logs were originally submitted as part of Virginia Giuffre's 2015 lawsuit. A court order sealed pages logging flights for the following periods.
2015 Sealed Version
First sealed period - 17 November 1995 - 14 December 1997 (three Lynn flights)
First unsealed period- 14 December 1997 - 20 November 1998 (one Lynn flight)
Second sealed period - 20 November 1998 - 23 March 1999 (one Lynn flight)
Second unsealed period - 23 March 1999 - 19 Janurary 2006 (zero Lynn flights)
This begs the question, is there any significance to December 17th 1997 and November 20th 1998 being the start and end dates for the first sealed period?
As it happens, not only does the sealed version exclude four of Lynn Forester de Rothschild's five flights, but her third flight is listed on the final page of the first sealed period, and her fifth flight is listed on the first page of the second second period.
Lynn's third flight on November 7th 1997 is logged on the last sealed page of the first redacted period (17-11-95 until 14-12-97). The very next page in the flight log begins the first unsealed period on December 14th 1997.
Lynn's fifth flight on November 29th 1998 is logged on the very first page of the second sealed period (20-11-98 until 23-03-99). The page before it ends the first unsealed period, which had began on the page directly after her third flight.
To put it clearly, both her third and fifth flights are recorded on pages directly either side, and thus excluded from, the first unsealed period of the flight logs. Her third flight marks its beginning, her fifth flight marks its end; excluding all her logs but one.
This is verified by comparing the2015 Sealed Flight logto the unsealed one ~26.
A claim by key witness Maria Farmer
Maria Farmer first reported Epstein to the FBI in 1996 after she was introduced to Epstein by Eileen Guggenheim who worked at the Academy of Art NY. The FBI did not follow up on her claims at the time, which have clearly been proven true. ~ 64
Then in 2002 both her and her sister attempted to go public in an interview given to Vanity Fair journalist Vicky Ward. Ward did publish an article on Epstein in March 2003. ~ 65
However, according to Vicky Ward the editor of Vanity Fair, Graydon Carter, refused to publish the inclusion of the interview with the Farmer sister’s. ~ 67
Farmer's credibility may be questioned by those uncomfortable with how brazenly she accounts for the scope of Epstein's operation, possibly more so with how she conceptualises the nature of it.
However, I would think that after experiencing such a thing as she, and having been ignored by law enforcement and media outlets upon attempts to report it; it is understandable she would harbour the sort of mistrust for authority that opens a door to all kinds of alternative world views; who the professional class readership of papers of record would easily disregard the credibility of.
But those who would disregard what she has to say based off her life experiences, must too reckon with what she has been proven to be right about, which they then too would’ve called her crazy for.
With that said.
In a 2020 interview with Shaun Attwood Maria Farmer stated that Ghislaine Maxwell told her that the Rothchild family were the protectors of her family, but that they had also killed her father. ~ 68
Ghislaine’s father, Robert Maxwell, was using Rothschild Inc to facilitate the mergers and acquisitions of his media empire through the 1980s ~ 69 . Rothschild Inc was also also Robert Maxwell's primary creditor at the time of his death. ~ 70 , 71.
"The Financial Times quoted Robert Pirie, president of Rothschild Inc. and Maxwell’s principal investment banker, as saying, “Bob used to go swimming all the time without telling anybody. . . He would just go down the ramp and take a swim, and it used to scare the hell out of his crew. I think he probably just went for a swim.”

In 2013 Deutschebank co-chief executive Anshu Jain appointed both Lynn Forester de Rothschild and Peter Mandelson to the Alfred Herrhausen Society board of trustees ~ 72. At the time Anshu Jain was attempting to expand the banks American clientele ~ 76
"Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild is also a new member of the Board of Trustees, and the aristocrat is, among other things, director of the business magazine "Economist". Jain also chose the representatives of politics wisely. For the Federal Government, The Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Anne-Ruth Herkes, holds the position. Jain is approaching the SPD through the economist Henrik Enderlein, who advises the party leadership. But Jain also maintains contacts internationally. He has brought Lord Peter Mandelson to the Board of Trustees, a member of the House of Lords and a former EU trade commissioner." ~ 72, German - English translation.
Jain’s appointments of Lynn Forester de Rothschild and Peter Mandelson were made just before July 13, the date Der Spiegel reported it.
A around a month later, in August 2013, Jeffrey Epstein was brought on as a client by a Deutschebank client manager named Paul Morris. Epstein remained a client until 2018. ~ 73 , 74
“RELATIONSHIP MANAGER-1,” who brought Mr. Epstein into Deutsche Bank, is Paul Morris, who had previously helped manage the Epstein account at JPMorgan. Despite Mr. Epstein’s conviction in 2008 of soliciting prostitution from a minor and widespread press coverage of his involvement with underage girls, Mr. Morris in 2013 introduced Mr. Epstein to his Deutsche Bank bosses as “a potential client who could generate millions of dollars of revenue as well as leads for other lucrative clients to the bank,” according to the consent order. ~ 74
“According to the settlement, an unnamed executive emailed the manager(Morris) in charge of the relationship with Mr. Epstein in 2013, before any accounts were opened. The executive said that he had spoken to two other top bank officials and that neither had suggested that a relationship with Mr. Epstein required a risk review. ”

In 2020 Deutschebank was fined $150 million after it settled a lawsuit charging it with 'overlooking' suspicious activity on Epstein's account. ~ 74
“Once the Epstein relationship was underway, Deutsche Bank executives ignored repeated red flags, including suspiciously large cash withdrawals and 120 wire transfers totaling $2.65 million to women with Eastern European surnames and people who had been publicly identified as Mr. Epstein’s co-conspirators, according to the consent order." ~ 74
This first case was settled in early July. Not long after on July 15th, Deutschebank investors filed a class action suit against the bank, citing the bank's executive facilitation of high risk clients, primarily Jeffrey Epstein, as culpable for a decline in stock price. ~ 76
The case was assigned to Judge Esther Salas, whose husband and son where shot four days later by an anti-feminist lawyer named Roy Hollander, who had rung the family's doorbell dressed in a FedEx uniform. Hollander was later found dead inside his car of an apparent suicide. Judge Salas’s son was killed in the incident. ~ 77
Donald Trump was also pursued as part of Anshu Jain US clientele expansion in 2013.
“His successor, Anshu Jain, was briefed on the Trump relationship early in his tenure. In February 2013, Mr. Jain accompanied Rosemary T. Vrablic — Mr. Trump’s personal banker at Deutsche Bank — to Trump Tower in Manhattan, according to two former executives. Over lunch, Mr. Jain remarked to Mr. Trump that he was surprised by his relatively low levels of debt. Ms. Vrablic told her colleagues that Mr. Jain had sounded upbeat about Mr. Trump’s finances. ” ~ 78
Trumps account was managed by Vrablic and her superior Thomas Bowers. Bowers signed off on numerous loans in the lead up to Trump's Presidency. ~ 79
In 2019 Bowers was found dead from an apparent suicide. ~ 80
Back in 2014 a Duetschebank executive named William S. Broeksmit had been working with the FBI as a whistleblower before being found dead from an apparent suicide. ~ 81
The Council For Inclusive Capitalism
When Lynn Forester became Lady Rothschild she entered the world of old money: foundations, think tanks, policy institutes, and other NGOs. She’s a member of the standard network of Anglo-American establishment groups: Council on Foreign Relations, Chatham House, and Institute for Strategic Studies.
But her preoccupation since 2013 has been the incubation of a corporate governance institute formed in response to the 2008 financial crises. It is called the Council on Inclusive Capitalism(now in partnership with the Vatican), with a self described mission statement to replace shareholder control with stakeholder control. Its focus is policy that governs how corporations relate to society external to the market, often called Environmental, Social, and Governance policy, or ESG. This is important because as corporations gain perpetual power, their policies determining how they relate to people, not just as consumers but as citizens, becomes an evermore primary influential or coercive factor on the cultural zeitgeist.
What’s going on here is complex as the system of corporate governance is rather complex. This system is explained in depth here: Seperation of control from ownership
A collection of world's most powerful CEOs have committed their corporations to Lynn Forester de Rothschild’s Inclusive Capitalism council, placing their employee's under the governance of its corporate social responsibility guidelines.These guidelines are not set by politicians or shareholders of the corporation, but by advisory panels internally determined by Inclusive Captialism.
These policies are then actualised through custodian banks, who hold custody over trillions of dollars worth of corporate stock, purchased and coordinated into voting blocks by mutual funds directing the flow of the aggregated capital taken from retirement funds all round the world.
The custodian banks, in some cases the mutual funds themselves depending on the arrangement, vote the proxy of all this stock on behalf the holders, predominantly the middle class, thereby electing the board of directors who elect the CEO, who in turn commits their corporation to a governance institute such as Inclusive Capitalism to provide a governing framework for their employees.
Inclusive Capitalism is to the corporation what the Church was to Monarchy, a moral conscious providing a mandate for power, ostensibly on behalf of the people. The only difference is the absence of divinity, as ordination is performed unceremoniously by statisticians in dark rooms full of information, from which light shines out not in.
It is easy to see how critical fund managers are to the process of controlling corporations. Perhaps you could argue, if not now then very soon, that controlling fund managers is just as important as controlling politicians, if one were to actualise changes within society. Combine this secular mandate control in divine partnership with the Church, and one would have constructed an information authority of the broadest scope, with a mandate for change, should disaster necessitate it, or perhaps, some kind of reset.

Perhaps the most radical utilitarian stance in this context is Pearce (1995). Hughes (1996) developed a political version of an envisaged transhumanist democratic society based upon utilitarianism. Levin (2020: Ch. 4) criticizes transhumanism in general precisely due to its alleged over-reliance on utility ethics.
While Max More, Natasha Vita-More, Zoltan Istvan, James Hughes and Ray Kurzweil are perhaps the most vocal advocates of transhumanism these days, neither of them holds academic posts.
Nick Bostrom, founding director at Oxford University’s Future of Humanity Institute, and Anders Sanders, senior research fellow at the same institute, are both academicians, but Bostrom’s position as of late is increasingly critical of transhumanism to a point that his endorsement is now put into question (Fuller 2019: 72–80). Stefan Sorgner is a late promoter coming from the Nietzschean scholarship. Although he is criticized by Fuller for conflating both transhumanism and posthumanism (Fuller and Sorgner 2019), he might be the other one, next to Fuller, advocating for transhumanism from within their academic positions.
A legal framework devised by Fuller and Lipinska, where the citizen, aware of its genetic makeup, exercises property rights, backed by the state, to whatever may come out of using its genetic information—by profit or non-profit entities (Fuller and Lipinska 2014: 111–128).
A silver lining might be that, since someone healthier would retire at, say, 85 instead of 65, younger generations would not have to for 40, but 20 years in pensions for the elderly via taxation.
A mild (and for some, not so mild) taste of these new moral challenges already obtain while navigating through a social-media structured world—ignorance of which usually resulting in socially painful consequences. ‘One shall not post on social media personal information that may come back to hunt you’ could arguably be a sufficiently novel maxim (a virtual variation of ‘discretion’) that may one day qualify, after we know more about the nature and social future of these online sharing milieus, as a categorical imperative.

The issue of behavior versus structure as the source of an entity’s identity is still very much present in philosophy and science—dismissal of which sometimes resulting in devastating consequences.
